Graduation 2011
Are you graduating in December 2010, May 2011, or August 2011? If you are, you are eligible to attend the May 22, 2011 commencement ceremony.
The following items will help you prepare for graduation and help you
complete your senior audit. You must complete the following checklist by November 30th.
Please complete your Application for Degree by November 30th.
Senior Graduation Checklist
1. Familiarize yourself with your Program Evaluation
- Your program evaluation all completed coursework to date,
including transfer credits, as well as courses for which you are
currently registered.
- To access your Program Evaluation:
i. Log onto WebAdvisor
ii. Click on Program Evaluation

2. Check to see that you have filed all necessary paperwork with the Registrar's Office
- In August, you received an email with all degree information on file
with the Registrar's Office regarding your academic program. Please
review this information carefully and:
i. Verify all majors, minors, and concentrations listed.
ii. Complete the appropriate paperwork if you are planning on
adding or changing any of your information and submit it to
the Registrar's Office as soon as possible.

3. Complete your Application for Degree
- The Application for Degree verifies information regarding your
graduation. In this document you will be asked to confirm your
degree, indicate whether or not you plan on participating in
commencement and specifiy where you would like your diploma
to be mailed.
4. Contact the Registrar's Office to schedule a Senior Audit
- The senior audit is an opportunity for you to make sure that you
are on track for graduation and will meet all degree and college
requirements. Please call the Registrar's Office at (315) 445-4456
to schedule your senior audit appointment.
*If you wish to waive your right to a senior audit, please fill out the
Senior Audit Waiver form.

FAQs
Who is eligible to participate in Commencement?
Students who have completed or will be completing degree requirements in December 2010, May or August 2011 are eligible to participate in the 2011 Commencement ceremony. Those interested and eligible to participate should have filed an application for degree and reviewed their degree credits required for graduation with the Registrar's Office.
What are the Graduation Requirements?

Complete a minimum of 120 credit hours (some major programs require more) at least 30 of which must be completed at Le Moyne and earn a 2.0 cumulative GPA.

File with the Registrar's Office all necessary paperwork. All graduating seniors must fill out an Application for Degree. Other forms that may be required are course substitutions, concentration, minor, change of address forms, etc. Failure to do so may result in a delay in receiving your degree or diploma and may even prevent you from participating in the graduation ceremony.

Obtain a passing grade in all courses required for the major including the college core.

Complete at least one course in residency at Le Moyne in each of the four disciplines of the Core: English, History, Philosophy and Religion.

Complete at least half of the major requirements at Le Moyne earning no less than a 2.0 GPA in the major courses.

If you are declaring a minor, you must officially declare it by completing a minor declaration form with the Registrar's office, complete half of the requirements at Le Moyne and earn at least a 2.0 GPA in the minor.
What if I am not planning on graduating just yet?
If you are not graduating in December 2010, May 2011, or August 2011, please email the Registrar's Office and let us know when you plan on completing your degree.
What if I do not schedule a senior audit?
Failure to complete either the senior audit or the senior audit waiver and the application for degree may result in delay in receiving your degree and/or diploma and may even prevent you from participating in the graduation ceremonies.
How do I earn Degree Honors?
Students earn degree honors if their final cumulative GPA is at least 3.5 and they have earned at least 60 of their credits in Le Moyne course work. College honors are designated as follows:
3.50 - 3.69 cum laude
3.70 - 3.84 magna cum laudee
3.85 - 4.0 summa cum laude
What if I have a financial hold?
If you have a financial hold on your account you are able to participate in the graduation ceremony, but you will not receive your diploma until your hold is taken care of. Also, you will not be able to request transcripts while the hold remains. Please contact the Bursar's Office (315) 445-4350 with any questions in regards to your hold.
