Le Moyne Recognized for 20th Consecutive Year in Rankings Released by U.S. News & World Report
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … For the 20th year in a row, Le Moyne College has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s “Best Colleges" based on its academic quality.
According to the 2012 issue of "America's Best Colleges" guidebook, Le Moyne College placed #18 for "Best College" in the North Regional Universities category. The College was rated on peer assessment; graduation and retention rates; faculty resources; student selectivity; financial resources; and alumni giving.
Le Moyne was also named #9 in the Regional Universities North “Great Schools, Great Prices” list and was again included in the “A-Plus Schools for B-Students” listing for the Regional Universities North category.
“We take pride in this recognition. It is further evidence that the efforts of everyone associated with Le Moyne are having a tangible and lasting impact on the quality and value of the Jesuit education we provide for our students,” said Fred P. Pestello, Ph.D., president of the College.
Le Moyne College is an independent, Jesuit institution offering a comprehensive program of liberal arts, sciences, pre-professional studies and graduate programs in education, business administration, nursing and physician assistant studies. Founded in 1946, Le Moyne’s 2,300 full-time undergraduates choose from 40 programs including majors in more than 30 areas of study. Le Moyne is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the U.S.
