SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … On Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 7:30 p.m., 40 Fingers will perform a recital in the intimate setting of the Panasci Family Chapel on the campus of Le Moyne College. Pianists Kathleen Haddock, Amy Heyman, Steven Heyman and Ida Trebicka make up the ensemble, which was founded in the spring of 2011 under the initiative and vision of Ida Trebicka.
The recital will feature works including Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, selections from Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, Gershwin’s Danzon Cubano, and the world premiere of Aubade by composer and Le Moyne College faculty member Edward Ruchalski.
“An Aubade is the counterpart to the nocturne,” says Ruchalski about his new work. “The opening theme suggests a hopeful greeting to the day. I’m thrilled that 40 Fingers will premiere this work at their upcoming recital at Le Moyne.”
The concert is the fourth and final event in the 2012-2013 Le Moyne College Music Program’s guest artist series. Previous concerts featured saxophonist Marion Meadows, violinist James Ehnes, pianist Andrew Russo, and others.
Tickets are $20 for the general public, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students and Le Moyne College faculty/staff.
