Le Moyne College Joins Thousands in Focus the Nation

<p>SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … On Thursday, January 31, Le Moyne College will join more than 1,000 other schools, places of worship, civic organizations and businesses in participating in Focus the Nation, an unprecedented teach-in model on global warming solutions.<br /> <br /> There will be a series of faculty and student presentations, panel discussions during the day and an encore showing of "An Inconvenient Truth," all leading up to a keynote address in the evening by distinguished climatologist Dr. Michael Mann of Penn State. <br /> <br /> Highlights of the day include:<br /> <br /> 10 a.m.: "An Inconvenient Truth" screening<br /> <br /> 3 p.m.: “The Good Earth: Religions and the Environment,” a presentation by Professor Mary MacDonald and students Cristie McConnell and Jenna Hantsch<br /> <br /> 4 p.m.: “Energy Resources: What Are They Costing Us?” A discussion of the environmental and economic costs of energy presented by Drs.
