Le Moyne College and the Madden Institute Host Talk by Maxwell Professor

<p>SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … The Madden Institute for Business Education at Le Moyne College will host a lecture by Arthur C. Brooks on Monday, October 29, at 6 p.m. in the Panasci Family Chapel. His talk is titled “Looking for Happiness and Finding Faith.”<br /> <br /> Arthur C. Brooks is a Louis A. Bantle Professor of Business and Government Policy at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and Whitman School of Management. He is also a visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. Brooks earned a doctoral degree in public policy analysis from the Rand Graduate School in 1998, and also holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in economics. <br /> <br /> Brooks has published numerous articles and books on the connections between culture, politics and economic life in America. He speaks frequently in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and is a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Condé Nast Portfolio and other publications. His latest book, on American charitable giving, is titled “Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism” (Basic Books, 2006). He has two books slated for release in 2008, “Gross National Happiness” (Basic Books) and the textbook “Social Entrepreneurship” (Prentice-Hall). <br /> <br /> The lecture is free and open to the public.
