Le Moyne College Hosts Talk on Spiritual Practices of Leaders in Turbulent Settings
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College will host a talk by André Delbecq of Santa Clara University on Tuesday, April 26, at 7 p.m. in Grewen Auditorium. His talk is titled “Spiritual Practices of Leaders in Turbulent Settings.”
Today's leader faces challenges of diminished resources, disorienting change and constant uncertainty. In his work with executives in Silicon Valley, Dr. André Delbecq discovered the ways that leaders in this particularly turbulent setting work to steady themselves, make difficult decisions, and strive to live and work with integrity.

André L. Delbecq holds the J. Thomas and Kathleen L. McCarthy University Chair, Santa Clara University. His scholarship focuses on executive decision-making, organization design, managing innovation and leadership spirituality. He was Eighth Dean of Fellows of the Academy of Management, prior president of the Midwest and Western Academy of Management and former executive director of the Organization Behavior Teaching Society. He directs the Center for Spirituality of Organizational Leadership in the Leavey School of Business. Delbecq holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and a master’s degree and doctorate from Indiana University.
