TRAVEL IT. EXPLORE IT. LIVE IT.
In today’s increasingly small world, students who participate in a study abroad program gain a critical advantage as they prepare for life and a successful career after college. With the world as their classroom, students pursue studies in their field of choice even as they immerse themselves in a new way of life and develop new perspectives on the people and cultures of other lands.
More than 6% of the Class of 2014 took part in the College’s study abroad program. It can be one of the most rewarding decisions made during college. But don’t just take our word for it, hear it directly from former participants:
"Learning should not be limited to the pages of a book. Rather, it should be experienced first hand. This is the great advantage of studying abroad."
- Angela Bailey, spent a year in Hirakata-Shi, Japan
"Studying abroad opens yours eyes to the global community. You have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Their views and stories are worth more than anything you could learn in a classroom."
- Heather Scheidt, spent a semester in Colchester, England
"Living in another country while learning its language, its history, and its culture epitomizes true learning and it epitomizes what Le Moyne is about. Learning in another culture opens your eyes, breaks boundaries, and causes you to grow into a more mature and globally aware person. An experience of this nature is something that touches you in a profound way, and it is an experience that you will remember and draw upon for the rest of your life."
- Erin Galloway, spent a year in Madrid, Spain
