    Prof. Grossman teaches courses in literature, film, popular culture, and gender studies.  She is coauthor of A Due Voci: The Photography of Rita Hammond (2003) and author of Rethinking the Femme Fatale: Ready for Her Close-Up (2012). Her essay on desire, domestic­ity, and the femme fatale appeared in The Femme Fatale: Images, Histories, Contexts (2010), and other work has been published in Criticism, desistfilm. com, English Literary History, Henry James Review, the Journal of Popular Culture, La Furia Umana, Popular Culture Review,the Quarterly Review of Film and Video, and the Review of Communication. She is the founding and general editor (with Barton Palmer) of the book series for Palgrave Macmillan, Adaptation and Visual Culture, and her own book in the series, Literature, Film and Their Hideous Progeny: Adaptation and ElasTEXTity, will be published in September of 2015. Prof. Grossman is also co-author (with Therese Grisham) of a book on the directing work of Ida Lupino, which will published by Rutgers University Press in 2016.
