A Le Moyne education invites students to live lives of service, faith, intellect, and integrity.
A Jesuit education is not simply about reading from a textbook or researching information online.
Le Moyne is the second youngest of the 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States.
More than just the members of the Society of Jesus, our Jesuit community extends to all corners of our campus.
Some things last the test of time. That includes the rich, 500-year-old Jesuit heritage upon which the College was founded.

The Visual Arts program at Le Moyne College offers a variety of courses in diverse disciplines, including sculpture, ceramics, drawing, illustration, art history, as well as black and white, color and studio photography. These courses intend to enrich the liberal arts education of all students, from all majors and disciplines, with the belief that every individual has something creatively unique to offer. The courses encourage students to explore and develop their personal creativity, and ultimately to take pride and pleasure in their artist achievements. Students have numerous opportunities to exhibit their work, including the annual Student Art Show at the Wilson Art Gallery and various exhibitions in the Performing Arts Center gallery. Other opportunities include membership in the art club and internships in the visual arts program.

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Rochester. The Arts give you the chance to express yourself and surround yourself with people who share the same interests. It is a perfect outlet to relieve stress and have fun!
Students from all majors are encouraged to enroll in the visual arts minor in order to discover the many benefits of a rich visual aesthetics education within the liberal arts environment and Jesuit tradition. Instruction from accomplished and engaging faculty includes both studio and classroom experiences, designed to promote critical thinking, personal creativity and intellectual development. The interdisciplinary focus of the visual arts program encourages collaborative endeavors with theatre arts, music and the community at large.
We would like you to join us on our journey each year as we encourage and facilitate the dreams and work of our students. There are many opportunities to be had within the Department of Visual and Performing Arts ranging from paid work-study opportunities to student leadership positions, as well as volunteer opportunities and many more!

I am an educator at an NGO called the Working Boys center in Quito, Ecuador. Art taught me that you just have to go with the flow and see where it takes you. A lot of the artwork I did at Le Moyne involved me needing to change/adapt, and look at my project in a new light which is a useful skill to have especially when working with children.

I am about to graduate with my Master of Arts in Writing, and I am an intern at Union Park Press in Wellesley, Massachusetts. I’ve always loved photography, and becoming an art minor at Le Moyne gave me a chance to develop that talent into a workable skill. I’ve photographed weddings, concerts, portraits, and sports and even published a few shots. While it's a side business to my career in writing, it’s great to be able to make money doing something as expressive and enjoyable as photography.
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Library and Information
Science with a specialization in School Media at Syracuse University. My experience of the Arts at Le Moyne College reaffirmed my love of creative and intellectual exploration. I am now becoming a librarian to foster and guide that exploration in many others so they may know the joy I have as an aspiring lifelong learner and artist.
