Our Mission

The Writing Center at Le Moyne College helps members of this community advance as writers and teachers of writing. Writing is a critical social and professional skill that influences how ideas and identities are formed and communicated. All writers can improve themselves and their texts with practice and input from informed readers. We implement the Jesuit values of cura personalis and eloquentia perfecta by fostering a culture of writing that promotes individual writers’ unique capacities to use words carefully to contribute to the good of others. We provide individualized feedback and assistance to writers and offer writing teachers support and resources to increase their effectiveness.
