As part of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, NASA is collaborating with Nasdaq to highlight the historic achievement, as well as plans to go forward to the Moon under the Artemis program and getting ready for Mars.
On Friday, July 19, astronaut Jeanette Epps, a member of Le Moyne’s Class of 1992, rang the closing bell for the stock market, along with other colleagues from NASA.
She also appeared on
Behind the Bell, where she talked about the future of space exploration, including the possibility of her being the first women on the moon when NASA returns there in 2024 with the Artemis Program. Joining her for the bell ringing was Sharon Kinsman Salmon '78;
