Summer Arts Institute

After eleven years, the Gifford Family Theatre’s wildly popular Summer Youth Theatre transforms into the Le Moyne College Summer Arts Institute! This new conservatory program will expand on GFT’s theatre camp to offer additional opportunities for youth to delve into the areas of film and music (strings), all on Le Moyne’s beautiful campus.

The Institute kicks off with a two-week theatre intensive from July 9-20. Following this will be our new exploration of film, running one week, from July 23-July 27. The summer program will finish with an amazing opportunity for strings players to hone their skills from August 6-10. Youth may choose to attend one, two, or all three of these exciting new camps!

In recognigtion that some youth/parents may have schedules that require a longer camp day, the Le Moyne College Summer Arts Institute will be offering an Extended Day Option. This option will be offered for each of the camps and will allow youth the opportunity to remain, supervised, on campus until 5:30 p.m. During this time, students will be supervised by Le Moyne College interns who are on staff with the camps. Activities will be planned during this time, but it will not be a formal extension of the learning period.
