    Professor Roche teaches courses in journalism, multimedia storytelling, nonfiction writing, and media ethics. He began at Le Moyne in 2001, after earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton, an M.A. in English from Ohio State University, and an M.A. in Nonfiction Writing and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Iowa. He’s the author of the memoirs Great Expectation: A Father's Diary (Iowa, 2008) and Love's Labors (Riverhead, 1999), and his essays have appeared in Fourth GenreRiver TeethThe North American Review, Under the Sun, Passages North, and other places. He was a 2005 Fellow in Nonfiction Literature with the New York Foundation for the Arts.
