New Transfer Students

Welcome to TRANSFERmation!

As a new student, your orientation program is key to a smooth transition. While you likely participated in an orientation program at your previous institution, not all colleges are the same, and there is more you will want to know. At the same time, we also know that you come to us with experience, and we have designed our TRANSFERmation program with that in mind. It has two components.

The first component is New Beginnings, which enables you to (1) see how Le Moyne College is uniquely different from your previous institution, (2) get to know fellow transfer students, (3) discuss steps you can take to prepare yourself for the semester’s start, and (4) become familiar with resources and build comfort on campus.

Join us for one of the following New Beginnings sessions:

Wednesday, May 23, 5:30 pm
Tuesday, June 19, 5:30 pm
Wednesday, July 11, 5:30 pm
Thursday, August 9, 5:30 pm
Saturday, August 25, 10:30 am

The second component – and very important for your successful transition – is a half-day event, Connecting to Campus, on the afternoon of Saturday, August 25th.  It gives us an opportunity to welcome you with great fanfare, and it gives you a chance to get to know your new campus before classes begin Monday, August 27.  This program gives you a chance to meet the entire new transfer cohort and learn about the many academic and co-curricular opportunities available at Le Moyne that will give you a distinct advantage when you graduate, including internships and career opportunities as well as academic, social, and leadership organizations.  There will be concurrent sessions so you won’t miss out on any information. In addition, all students must participate in a personal safety training mandated by state guidelines.

All transfer students that wish to live on campus need to complete the Transfer Student Housing Application.
