- Evaluation Criteria - Applicants are evaluated for admission based on their academic preparation, references, professional goals statement, observation hours, work and service activities, standardized test scores and personal interviews.
- Bachelor's degree - Completed at the time of application or completed by the time the program begins June 1.
- GPA - At least a 3.0 cumulative as well as in the prerequisite courses. (Note all completed courses will be used in the GPA calculated by OTCAS.)
- Miller Analogies Test (MAT) - Score in at least the 35th percentile. GRE will NOT be substituted for MAT.
- References - Three from academic advisors, licensed occupational therapists, and/or work managers
- Interview - Determined by committee.
- Prerequisites - Successful completion of the academic and client contact requirements.
- Background Check - Required of all admitted students who deposit. Form and instructions will be given at Orientation.
Admission Requirements: International Students
- In addition to the admission requirements above, international applicants must be a permanent resident or eligible for an F-1 visa.
- Required English proficiency test - A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Testing Systems (IELTS) score report is required for non-native English speaking applicants in place of the Miller Analogies Test (MAT). The required scores are as follows:
- 79-80 on the internet-based test (I.B.T.) TOEFL, or
- 213 on the computer-based TOEFL, or
- 6.5 on the IELTS
- International applicants must submit to OTCAS an official course-by-course transcript evaluation completed by World Educational Services (WES). The evaluation must show that a bachelor's degree equivalent to one in the United States has been earned. Applicants cannot do their own translation. If admitted to Le Moyne College, an official WES evaluation must also be sent to the Office of Graduate Admission.
- At least 40 hours of clinical observation under the supervision of a licensed OT in multiple settings with different clients
- Completion of the following list of prerequisite courses (semesters or equivalent quarters) with a B or better; AP courses and CLEP credit are not accepted for prerequisites completion
- One semester of anatomy and physiology; neuroscience or brain and behavior; and, lifespan or human development must be completed within the past five years
- Anatomy & Physiology I and II (200+ level)
- GPA of at least 3.0 in prerequisites courses, as well as cumulative GPA

The OT program is full-time and 24 months in length (six semesters).
