    Broadway Cabaret - Broadway Star Gina Lamparella Performs with Le Moyne Jazzuits and Singers

    Broadway star Gina Lamparella will join the Le Moyne College Jazzuits and Singers as they team up for this cabaret dedicated to the music of Broadway. The performance will feature over 30 tunes in both the traditional Broadway style and in the various Jazz styles, including songs from Godspell, Les Miséables and Crazy For You.

    Besides solo works featuring Ms. Lamparella, members of both Singers and Jazzuits will also perform several solos and duets including such tunes as “Old Devil Moon,” “It Might As Well Be Spring,” “Corner of the Sky,” and “What Do I Need with Love.”

    The concert will closed with both ensembles joining forces with Ms. Lamparella singing “Beautiful City” from Godspell and “Feeling Good” from The Roar of the Greasepaint the Smell of the Crowd.” The Jazzuits are under the direction of Carol Jacobe and Singers under the direction of Carolyn Pardee.

    A Baldwinsville native, Lamparella has appeared on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera, A Little Night Music, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Fiddler On The Roof, Gypsy, Imaginary Friends and Les Miserables.

    She has also appeared regionally in Pericles, The Tempest, Crazy For You, Cinderella, South Pacific and Trousers. TV appearances include Master of None, All My Children, As the World Turns, and Guiding Light. As a director Ms. Lamparella has worked on Monologhi della Vagina in Florence, Italy and My Life as a Professional Pancreas at The Network 2012 One-Act Festival in NYC, and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival’s WillPower tours of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth, and Much Ado About Nothing.
