Calling on Malcolm X in the Age of Trump: Racism, the Muslim Ban and Reimagining Resistance
Khuram Hussain, Ph.D., of Hobart and William Smith Colleges will address civil rights and Islamaphobia in a post-Obama era. Hussain is an associate professor of education. As a teacher and scholar Hussain is centrally interested in democracy and education. His work involves a critique of dominant narratives that exclude grassroots voices, individuate social actors, and fracture communities of conscience.
