Accreditation and affiliations

Le Moyne College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB #166 Wilmington, DE 19801. (267-284-5011) The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

The Nursing Program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); the Teacher Education Programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Physician Assistant Studies Program is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission for Physician Assistant Education(ARC-PA). The Madden School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). The Chemistry Department is approved by the American Chemical Society.

 

The entry-level occupational therapy master’s degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 4720 Montgomery Lane, Suite 200, Bethesda, MD 20814-3449. Graduates of the program will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). In addition, all states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination. Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.
