2020 Summer Arts Institute: Strings

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and the uncertainty surrounding it, Le Moyne has cancelled all events that were scheduled to take place on campus through at least July 31. The College made this difficult decision out of an abundance of caution to protect the safety and health of all participants.

We are sorry to announce that because of this all 2020 summer arts camps have been cancelled. We hope to see you in the summer of 2021!

Join us for a String Fling at a one-week day camp on the campus of Le Moyne College! Students entering grades 4-12 will participate in group classes specific to their instrument, as well as perform in a professionally directed ensemble. Performances by guest musicians, recreational time, and social activities will also be built into the camp’s schedule. Camp will culminate in a performance for friends and family. Instructors include Le Moyne College music faculty as well as top music educators in the Central New York region.

(Note: students who will be entering fourth or fifth grade and have been playing their instrument for at least one year do not need to read music; older students should have at least one year of playing experience on their instrument that includes at least six months of music reading.)

For youth entering grades 4-12

Hours: 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Fee: $240
