July 11-22, 2016
Why do films make us happy? Sad? Afraid? Angry? At Le Moyne College's new summer film workshop, come explore how films use images and sound to appeal to our emotions so effectively. Those who attend will view classic contemporary films in order to figure out how the best ones "speak" to audiences. Then, using Le Moyne's state-of-the-art computers and software, participants will try their hand at affecting emotions themselves by creating their very own short films. This exciting two-week program will include watching, analyzing, editing, and shooting films and will conclude with viewings of the work created. (Popcorn included!)
For youth entering grades 9-12
Hours: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
